Literacy Homework again!

Hello!

I've got some more homework! Our task was to introduce a character walking into a room. Here's what I did:

Everyone stared at the posh-looking boy, as he strode confidently into our classroom. He looked around and sniffed as if the room was full of worms, rather than children. He gasped as a strand of his sleek, black hair fell out of place. Immediately, he took a pot of hair-gel out of his pocket, and fixed the strand of hair back into the clump of shiny hair on top of his head. “Herbert!” Snapped Miss Litress, “You can sit on the front row in that spare seat there.” As she said this, Miss Litress pointed a finger, coated in lilac nail-varnish, to the chair next to me! Herbert wrinkled his nose in disgust, but marched over anyway in his shiny, polished shoes. He brushed down his smart suit before perching importantly on the chair and sniffing again.

When the teacher started taking the register, Herbert stuck his hand gracefully in the air and said; “Miss Litress, don’t you think we should be listening out for our name to be called, rather than whispering.” He glanced over at two boys who had been chatting to each other and smirked before frowning, knowingly at the teacher who then told the two boys off. “Thank you Herbert.” She smiled and carried on with the register. When the lesson started he put his hand in the air again. “Yes Herbert” sighed Miss Litress.
“I don’t seem to have a book.” Snorted Herbert, “As I’m new, I don’t seem to have one” he sniffed. Miss Litress yanked open her draw and pulled a new writing book. She handed it to Herbert and had barely got back into the lesson before Herbert stated that there was a mark on the cover of his book. “Herbert!” Shouted the normally calm, kind teacher, “You have disrupted this lesson enough times, now please go outside and wait for me to come and speak to you!” Herbert was shocked as he stumbled shakily out of the classroom. The teacher slammed the door behind him before carrying on with the lesson.

“Phew!” I said and carried on writing. We never saw Herbert again. (But that was considered a good thing!)

That's all for now then, I hope you enjoyeed my story!

Bye xxx
