My Winter Poem-homework
Here is my homework for this week, it's a poem-as you might have guessed!
Winter Poem
It’s been frosty today, and everything’s white,
When I slipped over, it gave me a fright!
I got into the warm with a great big sigh,
And looked out of the window, at the pale white sky.
I took off my shoes, my gloves coat and scarf,
And when my mum saw me she gave a great laugh.
I had forgotten to take of my bright purple hat!
So I swiped it off, and that was that.
I went into the kitchen, with a sniff,
For a steaming roast-dinner gave off a great whiff.
I sat down at the table, on a comfy chair,
And breathed in the smell, of turkey flavoured air!
When we had finished dinner, I went outside again,
To build a snowman high and tall, but then………….
I heard the clip-clop of some hooves,
Upon the frost covered roves.
I looked up and saw in the sky,
A great red sleigh, right up high.
I smiled and waved to St Nick himself!
A small little creature called an elf,
Said: Get to bed now, little child,
Or all you’ll get for a present is a day that’s mild!
I rushed to the house as quickly as light,
And had a fantastic sleep that night!
Bye 4 now!

Even though it's bright and sunny as I write this, I was shivering with cold as I read your wonderful poem. I should have borrowed your bright purple hat! I'm sure you will get excellent marks for that homework.
Love from Papa
