Church weekend

Hello!

Today (Sunday, 8th) I went to church as normal, but today was different. On Friday, we went to church at 7:00, for the church weekend. At first dad (who was running the whole thing!!), told everyone what the whole weekend was about, and the people who would be running activities the next day told us what their activities would be about. Then, because the theme was creativity, we made people out of clay. (Pictures soon!) Then at 9:00 we went home.

The next day we arrived at church at 10:30 and had croissants with chocolate spread.(YUM!!)
After that, we all went off to do our different activities. I did art and craft. Now here is the best bit. In art and craft there was just me and Milly (my sister) and we got to open all the new things and try them out. But the best thing was the 'model magic'. I bet you haven't heard of that! (exceptions to dad as he was running art and craft). Here is a picture of 'model magic':

You can make anything ot of model magic. It's better than playdo better than clay, better than anything you can name. First you mould it into something, and let it dry. When it has dried, you can colour it with felt pen! It's so cool!
After art and craft, I did the kidz bit which was just the same as the art and craft. More children were in that activity, and everyone of them spent ages and ages with model magic. After the kidz bit, I did percussion. We had to choose an instrument, and Simon (the leader of the percussion activity) told us when to play our instrument and how to.

After that was delicious soup, and home.

Then we went back to church, and had a delicious 3 course meal. Mmmmm! After the meal all of the children went into the quiet room, and watched 'the aristrocats'.

I only popped in and out though, listening to the adults conversations.

Then this morning was the big day. I peformed my percussion, and a display was made, showing all the things in the art and craft activity. Then everyone else showed what they'd done in their activities. Overall the weekend was a great success.

WELL DONE DAD!

What a great report, why don't you email it to Barry to put in the church newsletter?
